I don't think they are and not because I have two huge ones on my hips 
If you think about it tattoos are overdone in general. They have become part of the mainstream. Just get what you like and enjoy it  |

I have a nautical star on my arm, done with a hand tool, took seven hours. the sections that are normally shaded are filled with a spiral pattern.
It is possibly my favourite tattoo. |
