Hi!
I just got my first tattoo last night and it is *amazing*!
The placement is perfect, the detail is super intricate and well done - it is a very, very delicate outline of the continents of the world. Italy is the *tiniest* little boot and I am blown away that my artist was able to get the detail he did! I could not be happier overall!
My only question is regarding the color. I did not want black - I wanted a dark brown. The artist pulled out this beautiful chocolatey dark brown and I loved it in the bottle and smeared on the paper towel.
My concern is that right now my tat looks black...not even a hint of the chocolate color. My artist said that it was partly because of the purple stencil that he used and that once that faded and it healed a little, the chocolate would come through...
This was however his first time with that specific ink...
SO - I am a little nervous. I don't hate it as black, but I definitely wanted the warm earthy brown, so it is hard not to be a bit disappointed.
Has anyone else ever gone with a dark brown ink and did it look black at first? Does it heal to the brown? What can I expect?
If it remains true-black...is there anything to be done for me? Can it be re-done and made to be brown? I would be afraid to go back over it as the lines are *so* delicate...
Thanks for listening!
