OK well I'll state the whole situation here
My girlfriend, whom I've been with for two years, goes to college and lives with me here in MN. She is originally from NJ and she went on vacation out there while I stayed back here.
Well she has talked about getting a star tattoo with her friends because they think its "cute" and a good idea... NO OFFENSE to anyone on here intended, however, I personally dislike tattoos a lot. That is my own opinion and she knows this. Well I told her I would respect her decision if she got one and to go ahead and get one, BUT I told her that she NEEDS to wait before getting one. She said she'll wait until December to think about it.
Well anyways today her and her friends went to the beach, she had no money on her, and on the way there of course a tattoo parlor is there. Well her friends said "hey lets go get those tattoos" and she said she was very hesitant but they talked her into it and made her "realize that she wanted one" and they all chipped in to pay for it since she had no money.
Well her and all her girlfriends got star tattoos on their wrists. She got a Pink one with a black outline about the size of a Dime or a Nickel. It has really no meaning other than she got it with her friends. I got really upset about this, while fully realizing its her body and her choices, however, I dont do things that make her upset.
Basically my question to you guys is WILL she regret this later in life? Whether it be tomorrow or ten years from now? Do you think she'll regret this?? I really think she will but I'm wanting other opinions and thoughts on this from other people...
I'm not looking to hear about how I'm too uptight and what not. She asks me to do things and I COMPLETELY respect her, I ask her something and she does the opposite...
AND say it comes down to it and she wants it removed eventually what are we looking at, BALLPARK estimate of what it will cost to have it fully removed after all procedures? |

| I don't think it's your place to determine whether she'll regret it or not. You are right for realizing that it is her body. That said, if she does end up regretting it, that's on her, not you. |

| Honestly, i think she won't regret it, at least not much. You can look around and see some of the crazy s*** some people have done in their younger ages and come to regret it, but this sounds pretty minimal. I think you're getting a little worked up for such a small tat. And for some people the urge to get a first tat is very strong, so at least she was smart about it, not obscene, or large. Give her some credit. And is the real problem that she got a tattoo, or that she didn't listen to you? |

At least she will always have a story to go with the tattoo, and will always remember her friends when she looks at it |
