I just got it today and I am in love with it. Except for five small blue dots....arrgh! Anyway - I am thinking of using TCA for removing them. But how soon after tattooing can you use it? I'll have to cover up the other dots, I guess even if they get some collateral damage I can retattoo them.
I have heard six months from my friends, but I wanted to make sure. They are bright blue dots. I have heard I can do this before lasering, but I am not sure if I really want to do laser or just be really patient with TCA. It's not like the tattoo sucks - far from it - but those few dots weren't in the stencil and I wish they weren't there.
Sorry for the long post LOL! |

First of all, while the tat is still new, put some neosporin or vaseline on the three dots and cover with absorbent bandage to leach some of the ink out before it sets.
As for using TCA - you just had a few thousand puncture wounds inflicted to create the tattoo. You need to wait until those wounds are completely healed before beginning any form of tattoo removal. With TCA it depends on how fast you heal, but 6 months is not necessary, I would advise 90 days or so and you should be able to use TCA and I'm speaking from personal experience. I heal fast - waited 2 months and had no problem with the removal. In the end, the final decision on time span to wait is yours, you know your skin better than anyone else. |

| Laser is the only viable option. Find a reputable experienced laser removal tech in your area. |

How long to wait depends on how fast your skin heels. But wait atleast 2 weeks before starting any removal procedure.
Bright blue color will probably be harder to remove with laser as opposed to dark blue.
Also, there is no guarantee that the dots will be completely removed with laser treatment.
TCA is probably a better option because obviously its cheaper and less painful and you can see for yourself if its effective after a few applications.
But, with laser, you'll have to commit for many sessions which will be expensive and it can even leave you with scars, which could be worse than the bright blue dots!
Its best to consider all your options before deciding and not end up regretting.
Whatever you do, choose wisely. |
