Hi all, History Channel had show called Ancient Ink a while back. One very old tattoo was featured. It was done with a needle and cotton thread dipped in charcoal. The needle was inserted into the skin and out to make the lines. Would not consider that method, but the design interested me.
It was a single line 1 1/2" circle with four lines the same length as circle diameter going out to four directions. these lines were bisected by short lines about halfway out and the four lines ended with short "Y"s. There's more to it and I'm going nuts trying to remember. Asked two local artists and one remembers the show, but can't remember anymore of the tattoo than I can.
This is Northern Siberian, Scandinavian, Inuit origin and I do not want to disrespect the tattoo by getting it half right.

Can anyone out there help me complete this solar design?
